THE ORIGIN OF LIFE

                                                                                                         George T. Javor

      1. Can the scientists create life?

No, scientists have produced some of the simplest chemical compounds of living cells, but cannot combine them to produce a
living cell. Not even a small cell can be made in the laboratory. The technology to do this is not available and probably never
be. Scientists can not even revive a dead cell, although it still contains the systems and necessary chemicals.

      2. Could life have been started by chance in a "primordial soup"?

No. The life depends on many conditions not natural. These include the production of proteins and nucleic acids, which are not produced in
absence of life. Life is based on chemical systems in thermodynamic disequilibrium, but the chemical reactions in nature look the balance
spontaneously. Furthermore, no geological evidence that there has been a "primordial soup" in a season (1).

3 .. What can be said about the recent reports of life on Mars?

There was no life on Mars. The reports of possible life on Mars are based on certain minerals found in a meteorite
found in Antarctica (2). It is believed that the meteorite is from Mars, and possibly the mineral was formed by the action of bacteria
while the rock was still on Mars. This explanation requires that bacteria similar to Earth are present on Mars, producing
minerals within the rock. Then an asteroid hit Mars or similar object with enough force to throw a rock in space, where it
fallen vacant for some time. Finally, the rock encountered the Earth, passed through the atmosphere and fell in the Antarctica, where he was
found by a search team that annually meteorites.

Probably, most scientists are skeptical about the statements that the minerals were produced by living organisms (3). A
NASA disqualified the rock and fossil. The search for evidence of life on Mars continua. It is unlikely that any living organism
could survive such a journey, not more has been stated that the rock contains a fossil bactéria.O of skepticism (4) on the initial
statements appear to have been justified by a record that most of the organic molecules was originated from contamination with material
      from the Earth.

      4. Can the development of theories form a Chaos and Complexity that has affected our understanding of the
problem of the origin of life?

These theories have not produced any change. The theory of complexity has generated much debate and speculation that have not changed the
nature of the problem. Most work has been done with computer programs, which do not reveal anything about the sources of protein,
nucleic acids or living cells (5).

      5. Can we consider the theory that life began on surfaces of clay minerals or in the ocean, perhaps around hydro
     sources?

Various conjectures have been proposed in relation to the life or surfaces on clay minerals. However, they have no
empirical support and no significant experimental evidence to evaluate (6). Hydro sources have a serious problem for these
theories, because the water coming out of them is sterile, destroying any life that may be present (7). Most chemical compounds that are
necessary for life are very sensitive to heat.

6 .. What unresolved problems on the origin of life are of greatest concern?

The scientific data about the origin of life are consistent with the teorisof the criacionists. Of course, all students of
nature would like to learn more about how life works.
